Why our community supports hit different

Belonging is a verb — not a venue.

Most "community access" shifts turn into wandering the shops for two hours. We refuse. Every outing has a purpose linked to your goals — even when the goal is simply "have a proper laugh with a mate."

Interest-first matching
Support workers picked to share (or genuinely nerd out on) your interests.
Real places, real people
Cafés, gigs, gyms, markets, clubs — not fluoro-lit day centres.
Confidence-building
We fade support back as your independence grows — that's the win.
Transport sorted
We help with buses, trains, rideshare or provider transport — whatever suits.
Six ways to get out there

Pick a lane — or mix all six.

These are starting points, not menus. If your thing isn't here, tell us — we'll build a plan around it.

Café & coffee runs

Regular catch-ups at your favourite local — the barista knows your order, you know the vibe.

Shopping & errands

Groceries, gifts, personal admin — with help that builds skills, not dependence.

Events & entertainment

Concerts, footy games, comedy nights, theatre — the good stuff, actually enjoyed.

Fitness & sport

Gym sessions, swim squads, adaptive sport, bushwalks — move your body, your way.

Learning & interests

TAFE, workshops, language classes, hobby groups — chase curiosity into new communities.

Volunteering & civic life

Community gardens, animal shelters, local causes — belong by giving back.

Skills that come along for the ride

Every outing is quiet capacity building.

The fun is the point — but the growth is real. Community access with Accucare stretches independence you can measure.

Travel training
Learn buses, trains and rideshare with confidence — one route at a time.
Social confidence
Practice conversation, boundaries and reading rooms with someone in your corner.
Trying new things
Low-pressure taster sessions for hobbies, sports and social groups.
Knowing your area
Map the good bakeries, quiet parks, accessible loos and safe walking routes.
Friendship building
Get plugged into groups where people share your interests, not just your postcode.
Life's big moments
Birthdays, weddings, footy finals, first dates — supported when it matters.
The shape of our supports

Skilled, warm and there for the moments that count.

Whether it's a Tuesday coffee or a Saturday night gig, we back you with trained support workers, transport help and a genuine investment in your goals.

How we start

From "not sure yet" to "same time next week."

01
The interest audit

We map what you already love and what you've always wanted to try — bucket list included.

02
Support worker match

We pair you with a worker who shares your vibe — not just someone with the right shift.

03
Try, tweak, repeat

First outings are experiments. We debrief honestly and rebuild the plan around what works.

04
Grow the circle

As confidence grows, so does your world — new places, new people, new independence.

Is this the right fit?

Community Access fits when you want more life in your week.

If you or someone you support nods along to any of these, let's have a chat.

Community Access questions

Eligibility, referrals, timelines and what happens next — answered.

Who's eligible?+

Any NDIS participant with Core Supports for Assistance with Social & Community Participation, or Capacity Building for Increased Social & Community Participation.

How do I refer?+

Enquire online or ask your Support Coordinator to send the referral. We match you with a worker whose vibe fits within 5 business days.

How quickly can outings start?+

First outing usually happens within 1–2 weeks — after a coffee-catch meet with your worker to plan what you actually want to do.

What happens next after I sign up?+

1) Intake chat. 2) Worker match on interests. 3) Meet-and-greet. 4) First outing. 5) Weekly or fortnightly rhythm you set.

Can I bring a friend or go 2:1?+

Yes to both. Group outings and 2:1 supports are available where your plan allows — just tell us and we'll cost it out.

What if my plan doesn't have transport?+

We'll help you use public transport, ride-shares or your worker's vehicle within program rules — and flag transport for your next plan review.
